As the climate of the Winter Knockout reaches an end, a record total of 21 players entered for the competition. We have seen players produce their finest performance, and causes upset. Defending champion, Phil Mottram, was defeated by Dave Walker by two strokes, who then was defeated by Stableford Champion, Stephen Foster by five strokes, who has progress onto the final against Elizabeth Cannon-Walker. Last year’s finalist, Denis Dove, was beaten by Sean Evans, on ten strokes.  We have experienced a strange turn of the competition, players resigning from their round and being disqualified. Even two players made a mistake of landing their balls on the wrong green! 

The Final between Stephen Foster and Elizabeth Cannon-Walker will be held at Stressholme Golf Club, on Sunday, 5^th April, tee-off at 10.56am. Match referee: Robin Calvert
